Alfred MIRASHI MILOT is a contemporary artist born in 1969, lives and works in Florence. He graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 1999. Then, thanks to a scholarship, he studied at the University of Art and Design in Loughborough, England.
In 2003, he opened his first solo exhibition at the Maschio Angioino Museum in Naples, titled “Le Veneri di Milot”, curated by Francesco Poli and Eduardo Cicelyn. From this year, the Albanian artist began a rich journey with solo and joint exhibitions such as: The 6th edition of the Beijing International Art Biennale at the Beijing National Museum (2012), "Open 14", Venice Lido, curated by Paolo De Grandis (2014), “Azione e Pensiero Xhixha e Milot”, joint exhibition with artist Helidon Xhixha, Royal Palace in Turin, curated by Anselmo Villata (2016), Xth Edition “Stemperando” - Turin Biennale of Works on Paper, “Believe”, solo exhibition at Tornabuoni Gallery in Florence, curated by Lucio Trizzino (2016) and in the same year inaugurates his monumental sculpture in Lizzanello (LE), part of the exhibition “Art & human rights”, curated by Massimo Guastella, “La Chiave di Cervinara”, the realization of the monumental sculpture in Cervinara, curated by Peppino Vaccariello (2018), “The International Artist and Children's Art”, Museum of Contemporary Art in Benevento, curated by Ferdinando Creta and Nello Valente (2018) and “Key of Today”, exhibition of monumental sculpture in Piazza del Mercato in Naples, curated by Maurizio De Giovanni and artistic director Michele Stanzione (2022).
Alfred Mirashi Milot, in addition to his rich creativity as an artist, has also curated important international exhibitions such as: the Albanian Pavilion at the 6th Edition of the Biennale of Works on Paper at the National University Library in Turin, the National Historical Museum in Tirana and the Villa Vecchia Museum di Villa Doria Pamphili in Rome (2015), the 6th Edition of the Jinan International Photography Biennale, Shandong, China (2016), the solo exhibition of the internationally renowned Chinese photographer Zeng Yi at the National Historical Museum in Tirana (2016) and the installation of two monumental sculptures by the artist Wu Weishan in the Leonardo Museum in Vinci.
The artist Milot has been appreciated and honored with many prestigious international awards such as: “Premio alle Eccellenze” from Napoli Cultural Classic (2010), gold medal in painting from the Barbican Center Museum in London during the Olympic Games (2012), first prize from the Water Cube Museum in Beijing (2015), Visiting Professor from Shandong University of Art and Design in China (2016), first prize at the “Eccellenze dell’Arte Contemporanea” exhibition in Rome, curated by Francesco Gallo Mazzeo (2016) and the “Artisuavitas” career award in the Royal Palace of Naples (2022).
Since 2020, he is the director of the DODO Art Museum in Beijing. His works are part of numerous collections in museums and public institutions.
